Libertarians Abroad is a group that was founded official on July
4th, 2003, in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam, by
Gary Dale
Cearley. The original idea was a group for American Expatriates
living around the world who were interested in libertarianism,
members of the
United States Libertarian Party, or associated
with other libertarian minded groups such as the
Campaign for
Liberty. We were, and still are, proponents of the ideas of
Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Ron Paul, F.A. Hayek, Ayn Rand,
Ludwig Von Mises, Murray Rothbard and other giants, whether they be
activists or intellectuals, of the libertarian world. Libertarian
minded people who happen to be independent voters (or even
non-voters) are welcome in our groups as well as people who support
other libertarian parties (such as the Boston Tea Party) and
libertarian leaning parties (such as the Constitution Party). And
we have Republicans and Democrats who consider themselves champions
of liberty involved as well. Yet the core of our support remains
members who are Libertarian Party voters or members. Later we have
had libertarians who were not Americans but were interested in
being a part of the discussion. This has only made our group more
well rounded and has served us well. We consider this to be a
welcomed addition to our group and a learning experience for us
all. If you are a libertarian come join us! You will be glad that
you did and so will we!
